Term	Meaning in AtroBI
Workspace	The organisation or customer context selected in AtroBI. Its reports, members, and settings are kept in that context.
Power BI workspace	A Microsoft container for reports and models. It is different from your AtroBI workspace.
Report	An interactive Power BI view containing charts, tables, and other visuals.
Report page / tab	One section inside a Power BI report.
Report binding	The saved connection between an AtroBI page and a specific Power BI report.
Metric / measure	A calculation or business number, such as Sales or Profit.
Dimension	A field used to group results, such as Region or Product.
Filter / slicer	A limit on the data being shown, such as one region or date range.
Page context	Supported information about the report page and its filters that can accompany an AI question.
Semantic model	The model defining fields, relationships, and calculations behind the data.
AI catalog	Reviewed definitions of metrics and fields that AtroBI can use to interpret and query data.
Alias	Another recognised name for a metric or field; it does not change the calculation.
Dataset	The collection of data used for an analysis.
KPI	A key performance indicator: a number used to track business performance.
Data refresh / freshness	When the underlying source data was last updated, or how old it is.
Comparison period	The earlier period used to compare performance with the current period.
Evidence	The figures, source, filters, dates, and other details supporting an answer.
Diagnostic	An analysis of changes and possible contributors; observations are not proof of cause.
Forecast	An estimate of future performance based on a configured method and assumptions.
Saved analysis	A saved query definition and visual choice that can be run again with current access.
Saved investigation	A captured report state, with an associated conversation when available.
Alert	A rule that checks a saved metric against a condition.
Threshold	The value an alert compares against.
Task	A follow-up item with an owner, status, priority, and optional due date.
Authoring	Permission to make eligible Power BI report edits, also requiring Microsoft's editing rights.
Build permission	A Power BI model permission needed for some underlying-data and AI query operations.
Row-level security (RLS)	Source rules that limit which rows a person can see.
OKR	An objective and measurable key results used to track progress.
Guardrail	A limit or condition used to keep an automation within its intended boundaries.
Approval	A recorded decision to approve, reject, or request changes to a proposed action.
Audit trail	Recorded activity and evidence showing what happened and why.
