Your first five steps

Use this walkthrough to open a report, ask a question, and save something useful.

Before you start: you need an AtroBI account, access to a workspace, and at least one report. Ask your workspace administrator if those are not ready. AI questions also need AI access and configured report metrics.

  1. Sign inUse your AtroBI account.
  2. ChooseCheck your workspace.
  3. ExploreOpen a report.
  4. AskAsk a specific question.
  5. SaveKeep a useful analysis.

1. Sign in

Open your organisation's AtroBI address. Enter your Email and Password, then select Log In.

If you received an invitation, finish registration and verify your email first. See sign-in help.

2. Check your workspace

Look at the workspace menu at the top right. Select the organisation you want to work in.

Reports, permissions, tasks, and settings belong to the selected workspace. If a report seems to be missing, check this menu first.

3. Open a report

Select Analytics in the left sidebar, or Open Analytics on Overview. Depending on your preferences, AtroBI may open your default report directly. Otherwise, choose a report from the available list.

If the report requests Microsoft sign-in, connect the Microsoft account that has access to it. Your AtroBI login and Microsoft connection serve different purposes.

Explore the layout

Report navigation: Open Analytics or a pinned report from the sidebar. A default report may open directly.

Change a report tab or filter to explore the data. Note the date range before asking a question.

4. Ask a question and check the answer

Open Ask AtroBI on the report. Use a metric that exists in that report. For example:

Show Sales by Region from 1 September 2026 to 30 September 2026.

Replace Sales and Region with your report's actual metric and field names. Submit with the send button.

Read the result table and expand Metrics, filters and evidence. Check the metric, dates, filters, and data refresh. If AtroBI asks you to clarify, choose or describe what you meant.

No AI panel?

Your workspace may offer report viewing without AI. You can still explore the report. Ask an administrator to check AI access and report metrics.

5. Save a useful result

Under a successful AI result, select Save analysis, enter a descriptive Analysis title, choose an available Visual type, and select Save.

Open Saved Analyses later and select Open with current data to run it again. New results may differ as the source data changes.

You have finished your first walkthrough. Next, learn how to write useful questions or how to create an alert.
