Save and revisit your work
AtroBI has three ways to return to an analysis. Choose the one that matches what you want to keep.
“What did we discuss?”
Read an earlier conversation and continue asking questions.Past questions and answers“Run this analysis again.”
Reuse the saved metric, dates, filters, and visual choice.Queries current source data“Return to this report view.”
Restore captured report state and its associated conversation.Restores analysis stateSave an analysis to run again
- Find a successful AI result with a Save analysis action.
- Select Save analysis.
- Enter a clear Analysis title, such as “Monthly Sales by Region”.
- Choose an available Visual type.
- Select Save.
Table is the general option. Bar chart and Line chart are available for suitable single-metric, single-breakdown results without a period comparison. KPI card is available for a suitable single metric without a breakdown.
To rerun it, open Saved Analyses and select Open with current data.
What “current data” means
AtroBI reruns the saved analysis with your current permissions and the latest available source data. It preserves the saved question definition, including explicit date ranges. A saved September analysis does not automatically become an October analysis.
Use Rename to change its title or Delete to remove the saved definition. Deleting it does not delete the Power BI report.
Reopen a conversation
Select AI History and open the relevant entry, or use Conversation history inside Ask AtroBI.
History lets you read earlier questions and answers and continue the conversation. It may show Completed, Needs clarification, or Unavailable.
An earlier answer is a record of that conversation. Ask again or rerun a saved analysis when you need an updated result. A saved conversation summary does not automatically recreate a temporary visual preview.
Save the current report investigation
Use this when you want to return to a report's analysis state, including its captured view and associated conversation.
- Open Saved investigations in the bottom report tools.
- Enter an investigation title.
- Select Save analysis state.
To return, choose an investigation and select Restore. Use Undo restore if you want to return to the preceding state. Delete removes the saved investigation.
Saving and restoring need a loaded report. The controls may be unavailable while a temporary visual preview is covering it.
If saved work becomes restricted
A saved item does not preserve data access after permission changes. Source access has been revoked means you need the administrator to review access before you can rerun it.
Next: use a suitable saved analysis to create an alert.
