Workspace settings and audit
Workspace administrators can open Workspace settings from the workspace menu at the top right. Always confirm the active workspace before saving.
What belongs where
| Setting area | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Microsoft app connection | The existing Microsoft app used for this workspace's sign-in connection |
| Analytics access | Workspace availability and individual member analytics capabilities |
| General and business calendar | Default language, business timezone, reporting currency, working days, holidays, and fiscal year |
| Notifications, alert freshness and privacy | Email policy, default source-age limits, and retention policy targets |
| Overview cards | The source report and up to four overview metrics |
| Diagnostics and forecasts | Available analysis recipes for selected dataset metrics |
| Feature controls, where offered | Which product modules the workspace can use |
Set the business calendar
Choose the timezone and working days that reflect the business. Forecasts can use the working calendar, so review holidays and fiscal-year settings carefully.
The weekday input uses Monday = 0 through Sunday = 6. Holiday dates use YYYY-MM-DD.
The workspace's reporting currency is an ISO currency code. It labels reporting settings; it does not convert source values into another currency.
Set useful Overview cards
Choose an Overview report binding and up to four Metric keys. A binding is the connection between an AtroBI report page and its Power BI report.
Use approved metrics from the intended model. Verify the resulting Overview cards with a user who has access to that source.
Set notification and freshness policy
Allow email notifications needs a configured delivery service to deliver email. In-app notifications can still be checked separately.
The default maximum source age applies to new alerts. Review existing rules individually when changing policy.
Retention periods are policy targets for your organisation's retention process. Setting a period does not automatically delete the associated records.
Review analytics activity
Open Settings → Analytics Audit if your role allows it. Use its available filters and record details to investigate analytics activity.
Keep the workspace, time, report, and query reference when investigating an issue. An analytics audit record and a workflow's Audit trail are different views: the former concerns analytics activity, while the latter records a particular automation run.
For an unfamiliar setting, confirm its business effect with the report or workspace owner before changing values used by other people.
